Success Story Of Daw Nwe Nwe Oo

Embracing the Myanmar Tradition with Daw Nwe Nwe Oo

Daw Nwe Nwe Oo is one of our determined group loan client from Hnee Moke Village, Chaungzon Township in Mon State. She earns her living from the production of the traditional Hnee hat of Myanmar. Hnee hats are made out of bamboo husk, they’re very light and are a great protection from the sun.

Daw Nwe Nwe Oo received her first loan, an amount of 500,000 MMK in September 2017. Her descripted loan purpose was to buy raw materials to increase her business production.

Appreciation

The financial support given by LOLC, has helped me to speed up the process and increase production. As a result of that, my monthly income is now stable than ever.

As her business ran smoothly, she employed more staff and invested to opening a small cafeteria with a variety of traditional refreshments and food with the second loan she progressed to. With an amount of 1,000,000 MMK, she capitalized into her new business.

Daw Nwe Nwe Oo came to know about LOLC when our staff first conducted a meeting at her ward’s authority office introducing our products and services.

I’m so happy that this is my third year working with LOLC.

Eventually, she continued to the third loan cycle, this time, an amount of 1,800,000 MMK as her new business is ready to operate. She had 05 employees before receiving financial aid from LOLC and now has 10 employees employed at her business.
