SMART Campaign Client Protection Certification

LOLC has also obtained the SMART Campaign Client Protection Certification in April 2019 as one of MFIs out of two SMART certified MFIs in Myanmar. As a socially responsible MFI, LOLC Myanmar is practicing best practices to protect our clients in a responsive manner since we start of our business operations in Myanmar. Therefore, we become Smart Microfinance which is fully transparent in along with our practice, process, pricing, fees, terms and conditions of all financial products. We treat our customers with respect and fair as client centric business. We listen the voice of our customer and fulfill their needs. We follows all the seven principles of client’s protection which is one of directive of the regulatory body of MFIs in Myanmar.

LOLC Myanmar is a member of Sri Lanka’s LOLC Group of companies which was established in year 2013 as a green field operation.it currently operates in Yangon, Bago Magway , Mandalay, Sagaing regions and Mon state and the Shan state serving approximately 265694 clients, over 90% of whom are women. LOLC Myanmar is a deposit taking microfinance institution run by women (representing 75% of the staff) for women.
